A large silent video projection reveals a swimmer coming out of the water. While the logic would be that the breath calms down after the effort, the breathing that emerges through the movements of the young woman's back gradually accelerates. The intimate and tight framing questions the off-camera as well as the events that build a narrative. What happened just before? What will happen right after? The work plunges us into a moment that is both decisive and temporary. The mirrors hanging on the wall confront the visitor with a vertigo sensation : the reflection of the red hair is prolonged in an unbalanced fall like that of a waterfall.
Une grande vidéoprojection silencieuse révèle une nageuse sortie de l’eau. Alors que la logique voudrait que le souffle se calme après l’effort, la respiration qui se dessine à travers les mouvements du dos de la jeune femme s’accélère progressivement. Le cadrage intime et serré interroge le hors champ et questionne les évènements qui constituent une narration. Que s’est-il passé juste avant? Que va-t-il se passer juste après? Le travail nous plonge dans un moment à la fois décisif et transitoire. Les miroirs accrochés au mur confrontent le visiteur à une sensation de vertige: le reflet de la chevelure rousse se prolonge dans une chute déséquilibrante comme celle d’une cascade.
